Kuldhara, Jaseri Lake, Camel Safari & Sunset
Your experience begins around 8:00 AM with pickup from your hotel in Jaisalmer. We leave the city behind and drive towards Kuldhara, the famous abandoned village near Jaisalmer. Take some time to explore the old settlement, hear its stories and history, and see how the landscape changes as we move further into the Thar Desert.

From Kuldhara, we continue towards the desert and, when seasonal conditions allow, visit Jaseri Lake, a natural oasis in the Thar. The landscape around the lake can change depending on the season, making it a special part of the journey when water is present. From here, we continue deeper into the desert before beginning our camel safari.
Once we reach our desert area, you will meet the camels and begin exploring the Thar Desert at a slower pace. The camel safari takes you through open dunes and desert landscapes away from the busy tourist areas. Along the way, there is time to stop, take photographs and enjoy the surroundings before settling down for lunch under a desert tree.
Lunch is freshly prepared over an open fire and served under the shade of the tree. Our vegetarian desert meals are simple, fresh and filling, with dishes such as mixed sabji, noodles and chapati. After lunch, take some time to rest and enjoy the quiet surroundings before having tea and snacks and continuing your desert experience.
Later in the afternoon, we head out again by camel towards the dunes. As the sun begins to set, we stop at a non-touristic spot in the desert to watch the sunset. With no other tourist groups around you, there is time to sit on the dunes, take photographs and enjoy the changing colours of the Thar without rushing to the next attraction.
